Enzo the Bernese Mountain Dog

I (Jaake) have been back in Jarrow to see Enzo and his family for their last session. Enzo has grown into a big, strong dog since our 1st session.

When I 1st met Enzo, walking him outside had become very stressful as he pulled strongly on the lead and was completely disconnected from his family as the environment was very distracting for him. His owners were keen to get help with this before he got to the size he is today.

Enzo’s family has put in a lot of work between sessions and he now walks nicely with a loose lead, he is also less distracted and his owners are able to engage with him on walks which he responds very well too. We have also worked on Enzo’s recall and looked and fun ways we can develop his impulse control.

What has been especially nice about this case is watching the relationship between Enzo and one of his owners grow over our sessions. It has gone from strength to strength which has been awesome to see.
