We've been to see Ziggy, the border terrier from Gateshead, who initially barked and reacted to other dogs even across the roads or quite far away. When we first met Ziggy in December, we faced these challenges, but today she doesn’t bat an eyelid at the majority of dogs. The only issue now is when other dogs are on the same path walking towards her, but even that is improving.
Today, we tried some training at Saltwell Park. We saw loads of dogs, and Ziggy didn’t bat an eyelid at any of them. However, we did struggle to recreate the issue of dogs on the same side of the path because the park is so big, so we came away early. We're planning to reconvene next week in a more suitable location where we can train her in an environment that will really address this issue.
The owners have done incredibly well, taking on the training and getting loads and loads of success. Well done to both!
Stay tuned for more updates on Ziggy's progress!

That's such fantastic progress for Ziggy — well done to the trainers and the owners! It’s always inspiring to see what consistent training and patience can achieve. Working through reactivity issues takes time, and it’s great that you’re adjusting the environment to suit Ziggy’s needs. For anyone balancing dog training with student life, I totally get how hectic it can be. If you're struggling to keep up with both, getting some college homework help can free up time so you can focus on what matters most — like helping your pup succeed! Keep up the amazing work with Ziggy! 🐾👏
