Mastering Loose Lead Walking and Addressing Puppy Mouthing’

Today marked Louie the Labrador's third puppy training session with trainer Jaake. As Louie grows, so do his training milestones. The focus today was on mastering loose lead walking and understanding puppy mouthing.

We initiated loose lead walking exercises, helping Louie learn to walk without pulling, an essential skill for enjoyable walks. Patience and consistency are key, and Louie is already showing promising signs.

We also discussed puppy mouthing, a common behaviour in young dogs like Louie. We shared strategies to gently discourage this, such as redirecting to chew toys and rewarding calm behavior.

With each session, Louie continues to amaze us with his progress and willingness to learn. Follow our journey as we help Louie navigate his exciting puppyhood.
