𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗱𝗱𝘆, 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀

Jaake has been back in South Shields to see Super Pups, Basil, and Teddy. These 2 little guys are just awesome and so much fun to work with.

This was Basil and Teddy’s 4th session of their puppy training and today was all about building a fast, responsive, reliable recall.

Basil and Teddy are also attending our puppy classes and we have already laid some solid foundations for recall training and today was about taking it to the next level.

We discussed common recall mistakes people make and what to avoid. We looked at the correct way to use a verbal cue and when not to use it. We added some awesome recall games to play with Basil and Teddy. We covered building proximity and the use of reward-specific markers. We also looked at different ways we can use different rewards and deliver them in a variety of ways to create a super fast recall, and finally call away from distractions.

Basil, Teddy, and their owners were awesome as ever today and they absolutely nailed it. Well done guys, keep up the good work.
