Initially, Merlin would bark consistently at people walking past the garden, visitors coming into the home, and dogs on walks.

We introduced a way of interrupting the barking and asking for alternative behaviour. We also put a plan in place for counter conditioning to knock on the door to help prevent barking.
Today we looked at what to do on walks around dogs and people, being able to maintain focus, and how to greet other dogs appropriately.
Merlin and his owners did fantastic today and he picked up the new cues really quickly. Now it's up to his owners to continue with practicing the new skills to prevent him from falling back to old habits.
Well done Merlin & Co.
