Dealing with reactivity once again

This is Bear the Bulldog. Bear is very territorial, he reacts at dogs, he reacts at people and has bitten a couple of people as well so we’ve been working on this. This was our first proper session actually working on these behaviours, because in the first session we needed to put a lot of foundations in place first. He probably halved the distance, he got surprised and caught off guard by a few people and didn’t bat an eyelid at them as well which normally he would’ve reacted at, so he did really really well there. You can check the video in the comments.

We also had Hunter the Labrador. This was our second session with Hunter. He was quite reactive towards other dogs and very wary of people, he’s also very wary of noises and highly noise sensitive which includes traffic. We’ve been working on this and he’s doing fantastic around people, fantastic around dogs so now we’re just working on noises. Basically, we’re starting making noises and he gets a treat, we make a noise and he gets a treat and we increase the volume and novelty of that. We’re walking around hitting a pan with a teaspoon then feeding him a treat every time until he’s literally predicted when we hit a pan with a teaspoon and he got a treat for that. Hunter is doing fantastic.
