This is Jax the Rotty pup.

Jax loves a good mouth and is very excitable around kids. When he mouths, he does it pretty hard, sometimes even tearing clothing and leaving bruises.

We’ve put steps in place to make sure this doesn’t happen, trained him on an alternative behavior, and talked over what to do if he does start to jump up and bite.

His owner is great and also noticed some slight resource guarding, something others might not have noticed until later, due to this, we have been able to put steps in to stop this happening again and help Jax learn that people being around him while he has food isn’t a bad thing.
