Scarlett the Aggressive French Bulldog

This is one of those “pick your battles” cases.

Scarlett is showing some on around dogs, but only up close. She is also showing aggression towards one of the cats in the house (but I blame the cat ).

Scarletts guardian is also hoping to get another dog soon, but worried about how they will do together.

Scarlett and her guardian will be moving house very soon, so we decided that there won’t be time to resolve the issue in full with the cats, so put management protocols in place instead - which sorted those issues.

Next we started counter conditioning towards other dogs, this is where we pair good stuff with scary stuff and over time, scary stuff turns good. We also put some protocols in place for if other dogs run over to her.

We will be back to see Scarlett in the new house and help her settle in and introduce the new pup soon!
