Sid the Reactive Border Terrier

We’ve been back to Gateshead to see Sid the border terrier.

Sid was mega reactive when we first met a few weeks ago.

We did some foundation work with him to build his focus on his guardian and be calmer outside and then started teaching him to check in with his guardian when he saw another dog.

Initially, he would react to other dogs from quite far away. During the first session, he was reacting at Bella from 4 cars away.

Now, there isn’t much of an issue with Sid, he’s actually happy with small dogs now and has played with some, and is also happy to walk pretty close to bigger black dogs (as you can see with my GSDs).

Our next step is teaching him to relax in a pub and cafe!
