Hereโ€™s a fun fact, I (Nathan) used to be scared of Great Danes.

Today though, I met Monty the Great Dane from Sunderland.

Monty is just lovely, genuinely one of the nicest dogs Iโ€™ve met and you just canโ€™t help but love him.

He has had some issues with other dogs in his space, like while with other dogs and moving to the side of the road to let people pass or when a dog has come into the vet. This isnโ€™t ideal, given his size.

The real issue is that he has some social anxiety, he canโ€™t read body language and doesnโ€™t know what to do around dogs, so is all play, whether they like it or not or nothing at all.

Today we started teaching him to ignore other dogs while building his confidence around them, we saw a few dogs and some very close and he responded perfectly.

His owner is very dedicated and because of this will get the results she wants.

Well done Monty and co.
